A Disney Heritage Collection
For this licensed collection with Disney and Bershka, the challenge was to reimagine beloved characters through a contemporary fashion lens. The design approach took inspiration from vintage collegiate wear, treating iconic characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as heritage athletic emblems. Each piece features carefully distressed typography and varsity-style treatments, giving modern silhouettes an authentic vintage feel.
The collection's success lies in its thoughtful balance of nostalgia and current trends. Classic characters are rendered in a way that feels both familiar and fresh - Mickey's iconic silhouette paired with varsity lettering in metallic gold and white, Donald Duck reimagined through a preppy sports lens in crisp greens and blues. By treating these beloved characters as collegiate mascots, we created pieces that resonate with both Disney enthusiasts and fashion-forward consumers. The distressed effects and heritage establishment dates (EST. 1928) add authenticity, while modern cropped cuts and relaxed fits keep the collection firmly grounded in contemporary streetwear.
